"This facility further expands Allison's capability to provide our OEMs with transmissions that are 'installation ready,'" said Michael G. Headly, Senior Vice President of Global Marketing, Sales and Service for Allison Transmission. "We are focused on providing the best overall value to our customers, which includes services such as those available from our new facility."

The integrated customer services will benefit Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and end users of Allison Transmission products. By building a Parts Distribution Center (PDC) and Customization Center that is located close to major hubs for truck and bus manufacturing, Allison is demonstrating its ongoing commitment to customer satisfaction.

Additionally, as the prime source for its hands-on fully automatic transmission and education training, Allison included a technical training facility within the PDC. Technicians and end users now have the opportunity to increase their fully automatic transmission knowledge, enhance their technical skill sets and benefit from the experience of certified Allison Transmission instructors. Examples of Allison transmission products and support equipment are available for students to tear-down and perform maintenance associated activities.
